Would you consider plastic surgery? What does beauty mean to you?
BUDAPEST: It was a night for unnatural beauties. Contestants showed off breast implants, nose jobs and face lifts as Miss Plastic Hungary 2009 strove to promote the benefits of plastic surgery in a country where artificial enhancements are viewed mostly with a wary eye.
Plastic surgeon Tamas Rozsos said the pageant also meant to show that cosmetic corrections did not necessarily have to be about oversized breasts, bulbous lips and skin stretched to near tearing point. “This about restoring harmony … eliminating asymmetries and giving women the opportunity to have normal features,” Rozsos said. “Plastic surgery has a bad reputation in Hungary but its mostly due to the exaggerations.”
To qualify for the pageant, the 18 Hungarian residents had to prove they’d gone fully under the knife — mere Botox or collagen jabs did not count. Nearly all contestants showed off augmented breasts, with reshaped noses also popular. One finalist had surgically adjusted toes.
Organizers claimed contestants were expected to show “a perfect harmony of body and soul,” but the three-part pageant concentrated almost exclusively on the women’s physical attributes and the usually conspicuous wishes for world peace went missing.
Pageant queen Reka Urban, won an apartment in Budapest, first runner-up Edina Kulcsar was given a new car and second runner-up Alexandra Horvath took home diamond jewelry worth $10,800.

No I would never consider surgery for vanity reasons, however plastic surgery when needed such as being in a horrific accident is commendable. I personally think people have more money than sense sometimes.
I would consider a face lift not for beauty to halt the ageing process.I would have nothing else done.
No. I am what I am.
I'd never spend that kind of money on something so vain. That money could be better spent on an insanely fast motorbike…
yes yes yes, id love botox, big titties, a tight j lo ***, oh and hair extentions. but alas i could never afford it so i can dream cant i lol
It would be pointless for me, I'm 62 and have a "well worn face "
I want a nose job. I hate my nose. However, I am what I am and I will always have my insecurities. I think if I was to change something. I'd just end up unhappy about something else and would forever be chasing perfection. I can understand why people have plastic surgery sometimes and if it works for them then it's fine. I just think it's who I am and I was made this way. If other people can accept me then I should.
