   Naturally, a 2 year old car is going to be more expensive to insure than a 10 year old car. If the car is financed, you have to carry full coverage on it. Even with your good student and driver training program discounts, you will pay through the nose if you get your own insurance. A 2007 model is going to be expensive to insure no matter what, but it would be significantly cheaper if your parents insure the car, and list you as the primary driver.

   Depends, any new driver is expensive. I drove a 2005 Civic Hybrid for about a year. It was cheaper than being insured on my 2000 GMC Yukon that was worth thousands less. My civic cost $17,000 and my SUV is worth about $7,000. The year of the car will affect your rates but the car is also a 110 HP 4 cylinder. Other cars may be cheaper but cars that get that mileage are not easy to find. It is always cheaper when you are on your parents policy. The 2007 Civic Hybrid also did quite well in crash tests which will also play a small roll. I would get quotes from different company's, you should be able to get them free online.    yes. but if you are on your parents policy it will be a little cheaper. the civic to an insurance company is a sports car. so there for it will be more than say a corolla.

   Expensive cars have expensive insurance. Teens without good grades are charged more than adults. Honda Civic 2007? What are you rich? I couldn't possibly afford that.
