   Best Answer – Chosen by Voters It sounds like we had about the same skin type. My skin was verrrrrry oily and would stay red. Makeup would slide off and it really bothered me that I couldn't keep it covered. Proactiv did not help my skin clear up – at all. But what it did do for my skin was take away most of the redness and it made my skin very soft and supple; it felt clean afterwards, as well. I don't have dark spots, so I really don't know.

   I have customers that complaint a lot about proactive. one of the biggest complain is dry your skin. and when you stop using the product your acne come back worst than before.I have the perfect product for that call exfoliating and cleansing facial gel . It is awesome for any bum, black heads and white heads extract them from the roots so they do not come back. exfoliate the sking living ur skin very silky and containg ph balance for ur skin. it is also a moisterizer.    That's the idea. But I've heard varying degrees of success from Proactiv. It probably couldn't hurt to try it. There are also products that mimic the Proactive 1-2-3 system that you can buy at the store.

   I don't know about Proactive but I do know about clinique . You can find it at any major dept store like Macy's. They have some really good products for skin a bit pricey but they work!

   proactive works because it a 3 step process (u can get these anywhere.. all brands have a cleanser, toner, and treatment cream). the secret is that kids that never washed their faces before buy this and use it religiously, mornning and night & their skin clears.. so they think its teh all mighty proactive. but really its just a skin care regime. i would try that out- but it seems like your skin may be beyond over the counter. you should make an appointment with a dermatologist! i did when i was younger and it really cleared up my skin and fixed it for good! dont walk around looking hideous any longer. that is damaging to your self confidence!
