   yes. It will rise considerably because he is considered to be an inexperienced driver. The rate will most likely not fall for at least 5 years and that is without any traffic violations. It is very difficult to get insurance at a decent rate for an inexperienced driver. Source(s): personal experience

   Yes it will, it's considered an additional risk. Get him his own insurance policy.
