Will my car insurance cover the accident, if i hit an animal on a road trip?
It was very dark at night all of sudden while i was driving I think it was a fox but not sure just came in front of my car. I got so scared and didnt stop.
My cars front bumper is all broken now.
I don't know much about car insurance but I will give them a call in the morning to know if they will cover my car for such accident.

yes it will be covered by your insurance.depending on what insurance you have, you may have to pay the deductible.on my insurance (state farm) its covered under something different. its considered an 'act of god' and i do not have to pay a deductible and my rates will not go up.just ask your insurance representative about it.
If you have full coverage, it is covered under your comprehensive coverage on your policy. You have to pay the deductable first and they will take care of the rest. If the damage is less than your deductable, just have it fixed yourself and dont report it so you can avoid a rate increase on your next insurance renewal.
hitting an animal on the road and damaging your car will be covered under the comprehensive portion of your policy. Have you notified your insurance company? Did you call the police when the accident happened ? You should have done both
In the U.S. this will be covered under your comprehensive policy. Your insurer should pay the cost of repairs less any deductible amount. Source(s): Claims guy
YES, that used to be true, however would be a good idea to speak with your insurance agent as the times are changing due to inflation and other reasons
yes, it will be covered but I don't think a fox would be big enough to do that much damage Source(s): ret agt
