Why the hell is life all about money and profits instead of caring?
I was at this hospital to volunteer. I wasn't screened for tuberculosis yet, so the infection and control nurse decided to give me a tuberculosis test. Three days later, I come back and I test positive for tuberculosis due to the size of the bubble on my skin. She then proceeds to state that "your costing the hospital dollars and money." I then reply angrily by saying "then why the hell did you even give me the shot." Then when I took the x-rays, I ended up tested negative for tuberculosis." She then rudely walks by me and states that I wasted the hospitals money. I seriously just wanted to throw a chair in her face. I'm about to give up on life and all ethics with it.

Best Answer – Chosen by Voters It was just one incident. Calm down. Everyone will face a few downs in their life. In addition, just because there are some terrible people in this world doesn't mean that the world as a whole is like that. Wow, that nurse was terrible. First of all, the test cost NOTHING compared to their multi-million dollar funds. Second, you were willing to volunteer your time, a gift far more precious than the money they lost, and she treated you horribly. I can understand how there are some atrocious people in this world, but never forget to remember all the good that exists in this world.
I take it you live in America. This is because private corporations dedicated to profits are in charge of medical insurance (not the government). That would never happen in Canada, if you are sick they will help you. It seems to me in these crazy days the ideals of patriotism, duty, and doing good have all but vanished. All that matters now is money. It is sad, I say we need a revolution of the human race and for people to wake up and really start caring and get active in doing something about it…
Go and find out who the hospital administrator is (yes, they have like a CEO) and ask for a meeting to discuss the comments this nurse made to you. Ask for an investigation and request (not demand) an apology from her in writing.
nowadays doctors treat patient as customer and its going to worse in a few years.
welcome to capitalism!
