Why no outrage over Harry Reid Comments?
But back in 2002 when Majority Leader Trent Lott made some in insensitive comments at a birthday party, he was run out of congress.
Harry Reid comments: no big deal. Trent Lott comments: Huge deal and he loses his job.
Why the difference?

Best Answer – Chosen by Voters He holds the key to the health care bill and all Democrats think that if this fails so does Obama's presidency and hence the fall of Democrats like was done by Carter. It was 16 years after Carter was elected that we got another Democratic president. They don't want to see this again. The problem seems to be the same reasons for Carter as it is for Obama… no jobs and he didn't address it, but other things instead. They are really propping up Obama and not Reid. They have to keep this bill going and an interruption by the house leader being canned would probably mean the downfall of the health care bill as everyone will be wondering if they know what they are doing. It just brings to the front all this "back room" secret dealings on the health care bill that no one knows about… and here we have Reid that said that without anyone knowing until someone spilt the secret beans.
Im Not Mad At All Its Bigger Things To Worry AboutThan Mr.Reids Comment A Lot Of People Think ThatHe Just Made A One MistakeHe Said ItAnd In Politics Your Under A MicroscopreSo It Always Comes Out WrongNo Matter How You Say It…………..
Good question. It's a double standard, pure and simple. Hypocrisy at its best.
O it's coming just wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Trent Lott was boo-hooing over the fact that the nation never had the "opportunity" to have a strict southern segregationist – like Strom "Separate But Equal" Thurmond – as president. Harry Reid was commenting on Obama's electability and making the observation that the country wasn't ready to elect an ebony-skinned, nappy-haired, Mississippi-rural-accented person to the office… and he was right. America wouldn't elect anyone capped and covered in rapper bling or with banger tatoos either. btw, Lott was ready to leave. Like Gingrich before him, if he'd had the support of the GOP, he'd still be in office. There was something going on within the party that had nothing to do with his birthday party comments. They were used as a public excuse.Neither Lott's nor Reid's comments are worth the press they've received. All the political drama queens constantly coming out of the woodwork and making big deals out of nothing that matters to most people is getting annoying.
