Which of these names would be best for this character?
My character is a 19-year-old girl living in NYC while she goes to college (she goes to the New York Academy of Art). She has very, very long dark brown hair (which she considers her best feautre), fair skin, and pale icy-blue eyes. She's about 5'8". She's very smart, aloof, and mistrustful. She doesn't like people all that much. She can be very cruel, and is arrogant and very stubborn and is also extremely talented artistically. Because she's so into art, she doesn't care about making friends or having a boyfriend. And, before you ask, yes, she is a bit of a b*tch. She comes from a wealthy French family but was adopted by a U.S. couple at age 5 when her parents died.
I have a few names that I like for her but can't decide which one I like best:
Adrienne
Arienne
Alexandrie
Celeste/Celestine
Delphine
Eleonore
Estelle
Iseult
Penelope
Roxane
Seraphine
Sylvie
Pick the one you like best (or if there's another one I didn't list, put that, too). Thanks!

I think that Celeste fits her best. I think that Celeste would fit her better, since I always imagine someone named Celeste to have dark brown hair and pale blue eyes, and I've always thought of someone named that wouldn't exactly be "nice". =] Celeste is also a very lovely name, too, and I think it fits her very well. Good luck with your story! =]
I love Adrienne, it sounds just as pretty as your character. I thought I'd list a few pretty French names of my own, though.AdelaideAdreannaAidaBrettanyCadenceClarissePersephone (Per-sef-oh-nee)LacePaigeRaineToniOf these my favourites are Paige, Adelaide and Cadence. I hope these help, good luck!Allem x
The name that I like best would be Adrienne. It seems to fit the french/american and it sounds like a person with that name could be a bit b*tchy. I think that some of the other names are too old fashioned to work as a name for this character.
Seraphine, and people can annoy her by trying to shorten her name to a version of Sarah..if she is the way you say she is…it should annoy her..present her as even more of a stand offish character.
RoxaneIt kind of reminds me of the colour brown, and it suits her character for some reason – the name is arty tooHope this helps ;]good luck with the story
Either Adrienne or Roxane oh you know which is a good bit*h name? Debora that's kinda like a bit*h/loner/artist name lol but yeah either Adrienne or Roxane work
I think Penelope is great, but also if you like Phi, Aria, Anastasia… hope i helped! answer mine? http://answers.yahoo0o0com/question/index?qid=20100216091155AADiBcG
I would pick Celeste because it is a slight contradiction. Most people would think at first that she had the name of a goddess, until they met her.
try with "Vanessa Rosephin"from your list I like "Celestine or Adrianne"
I like Adrienne the bestbut i also like Celeste and Penelope (all though penelope doesn't really suite a bitchy girl)
Roxanne most definantely think about it the names fits her fiery persona
I think Elenore of Celeste would be well. They both sound like her… By the way, sounds like a great character also!
Sylvie is a nice choice. It's French enough but also could fit into American culture without too much insult.
Eleonoreis perfect
Alexandrie or something snoby like Victoria or Charity
These are my favourites CelesteSeraphinePenelope
The first one.
Celeste/Celestine are cool since the sky is "above us".
Alexandrie because that can be a very tense name…..and I think it would be the right choice
