   I dont understand why it is a bad thing to be close minded. The world needs true people who can stick to their beliefs no matter what. open minded flippy floppy people are annoying. Not saying all open minded people are, just the ones who always change their mind about stuff.

   When ignorant, stubborn, idiots came about. This concludes, it was always a bad thing to be open minded according to much of society. Being open minded doesn't mean continuously follow what others lead you to believe, it means being open to new ideas and possibilities and looking at things from different prospectives.

   its not but in all times humans have had close minded people. but i think a marriage should be between a man and a woman. but gays should be able to have the privileges of marriage like if their partner is in the emergency room they should be allowed to see them and stuff like that. they should have an equivilent but not call it marrigebut some people dont care about anything and will keep their opinions for their pride more than anything else

   Open minded> what, and hold no core values?If you always keep an open mind, then everyone with an agenda will dump their garbage into it.One of my first core values is libertarianism. I may not like homosexuality, or any homosexuals in particular, but I will grant that they have every right which I claim for myself, including marrying whomever they choose.

   You might have a career as an activist somewhere. Open minded ness is what gave women the right to murder an unborn child. Open mindedness is what caused our government to quit teaching the bible in public schools. Open mindedness got us to elect the least experienced president we've ever had , at possibly the worst time we've been in

    Nice speech. Problem is you can keep on posting this time and time again..you might effect a few..but the majority of the people really don't care about open minds. For centuries it has been known that male and female can procreate thus continuing the human species. Male to male and female to female create nothing but disease and disgust for homophobes and the (closed minded). It's nonconforming behavior. You as much as you'd like to see Utopia… It would have to be a miracle. Wishing you the best.

    Being open minded to new ideas on how to do things is alright but when it compromises your belief system then there is something to say about that too. I'm open minded to the change in dress and even in some of the ways people express themselves in art and music and such. But, when it comes to being open minded to things that I know are against my Biblical stand on those things that's where I draw the line. Just because people are open minded to gay marriage does not mean that I should be. Scripture tells us it's not ok. Should I be open minded towards abortion because it is lawful and soooooo many people feel it is the woman's prerogative to do with her body as she pleases? No I don't like it and I won't agree with it. I have my mind made up that I will not ever compromise God's written Word. I don't fear change for God is changing me daily through His Word. I don't fear indifference either but I pity the person that is indifferent to what God's laws say concerning compromise. There's only one that I fear and that is God for if I willfully sin against Him then I will loose His blessings and that is something I don't ever want to loose. Thanks.

    I was just going to ask this question! I agree with 100%. I will never understand why people can't open their minds and just want to live in bubble for their whole life, they are missing out on so much experience. Some religious people are real hypocrites because looks to me from what I've read Jesus was an open minded guy. People should be judged on kind deeds and how productive they are to society. Live and let live. People make such big deals of things they don't agree with and yet most of the time it doesn't even affect their lives directly.Denial and ignorance is bliss I guess.
