Whats wrong with my fish?
first one of my plecos died it had a couple of holes in its body i thought maybe the other fish nipped at it since i started giving them little fish to eat once a week..but then my other pleco died..my giant parrot fish is just sitting in one spot everyday not moving around…one of my silver dollars has some jelly looking stuff on one side..my synodantis catfish looks like someone took out chunks of top layer of his skin (just in few spots) (my other fish dont seem too excited either) i dont know if the fish i started feeding them were sick or had some bacteria but i just really need to get this taken care of before they all die out…i just cleaned out the filter and going to get some tablets to put in there..any ideas, input, or questions appreciated thanks

Check your water quality, especially ammonia, nitrite and nitrate.Random infections and illness are usually due to a problem with the water. Not enough filtering, overcrowded tank, not enough water changes etc. If your tank has large carnivorus fish you may need to change much more water then the regular 20% per week, and need more than the standard filtering. As an emergency fix, do some more water changes, 30% or so, per day and see if they perk up. Feeder fish are a risk, but they are more likley to bring in one specific disease like mouth fungus or Ich. Random illness of various fish points to poor water.A proper antibiotic should help with the infections, but you need to fix the underlying cause if you want them to recover.Ian
what size tank, what kind of filter, what kind of pleco, what are all the other fish in the tank, how old is the tank, how and how often do you clean the tank, , do you have an pics you can send? I can try to help you if you answer these questions, , did you look up hole in head disease on line? hope you figure this out,
Details.. like what size tank? Heated? When was the last time you did a water change? It sounds like you have a couple of different types of infection going on.
