I have your same problem!! You don't want to use primer or any type of liquid foundation on your face..it's just like adding more grease! You need to use a translucent pressed powder (I use toofaced absolutely invisible) http://www.toofaced0o0comseriously it works and takes away shine and greasiness!! however if u must use a primer, brush on pressed powder after the primer especially on your nose
I used to use smashbox photofinish but it broke me out so now I use laura mercier and I LOVE it, its about the same price also. good luck hope I helped!
I use the Clarins InstantSmooth Perfecting Touch primer (: It's about $31 USD I think, but it's worth it. It lasts a long time, totally mattifies your skin (better than powder does alone in my personal opinion), and it does fill in your pores and lines. If you don't have too much pimples then it would be good enough to even wear alone, but I have to at least use concealer to cover my spots. Lol. Otherwise the Clarins Primer would be good enough to wear on its own on lazy days.
For oily skin try Dr. Feelgood by Benefit. That thing mattifies beautifully. It's supposed to go over your makeup, but I use it as a primer and I love it.

definitely smash box. It feels oily at first but it goes on really nice and wont clog your pores. I love it! (:
