What products will clear my acne.?
I've given up on airy-fairy organics and 'remedies' and decided to go back to chemicals and toxins which have a higher chance of clearing my acne. I am 18 and have had it mild since 14. It is hereditary I know that. I will allow a month for these products to work. I'm seriously thinking about replacing my organic cleanser with Cetaphil Gentle Cleanser, medicating with PanOxyl/Benzac AC benzoyl peroxide. I'm also wondering about Clinique, ClearPores, Biore and Proactiv. I don't know and I want your advice. Have you tried any of these? Grr I don't know what else to say. I've pretty much been through it all along with a dermatologist-prescribed gel which didn't work and I feel like nothings going to work. Please help

The scar wont appear. Now the case is if u had already had a scar just the lime Juice alone wont work out , all you need to do is that take the cotton and soak it in a mixture of lime juice and honey apply it on the scar and wash it after 10 minutes , this reduces the scar as lime is a natural Bleach.
i use cetaphil or a cheap store-brand knock off, whichever my mom gets because one or the other is cheaper. it's just soap, nothing fancy. the key word is "noncomedogenic". it means the stuff has no oils in it so it will clean out your pores without leaving anything behind. it's been working great for me for over a year.
my cousins doc perscribed cetaphil so i gave it a try and in maybe two weeks i saw a big difference not completely clear but no other cleanser worked like this and ive tryed them all so give it a try and dont give up on it it will take a few weeks to see a difference i hope you find watcha lookin for =)
U can go to your doctor and ask for a 5 course of anti-biotics…that really helped me
Alright, so here's something I know a lot about because I had extreme acne for a while. Acne is mostly due to a molecule called DHT (a potent androgenic compound). It causes your body to produce too much oil. You don't need bacterial overgrowth to have acne (the pores can clog and become inflamed simply due to overload of oil and keratin). What you want to do is lower DHT in a healthy way and AVOID THOSE ACNE CREAMS (They are hard on the skin and often increase acne. I know from personal experience, some of these acne medications will say it make things worse before it gets better, there is no f******* logic in that, DO NOT BUY INTO IT)Here are some things that boost DHTMasturbationSaturated fatsMonounsaturated fats (found in certain nuts, olive oil) Milk/dairyHere are some things that lower DHTRunning 1 mile or more a daynot masturbatinggreen tealess simple sugars in the dietpolyunsaturated fats (those found in legumes, fish oils, oatmeal, and some nuts)Things that effect acne without effecting DHTVitamin D (found in fish oil and can be bought as a supplement) (It helps the body distinguish between a foreign invader and the bodies own cells, it also helps with inflammation)Vitamin C (effects skin cell regeneration and collagen formation leading to less scaring)Taking ibuprofen every other day can help with inflammationVitamin B (cell metabolism)Chromium (found in lettuce and other leafy veggies, helps with glucose metabolism and therefore decreases inflammation by helping to control the blood glucose level) (if you've ever known someone who has diabetes you can see how to much sugar effects inflammatory molecules in the blood buy looking at their skin and swollen joints)Fish oil (effects the levels of dht but also works by reducing inflammation by helping the body produce eicosanoids) (eicosanoids produced due to omega 6 fatty acids produce inflammation while those produced by omega 3's lower inflammation)If you do all of these things you will have far less acne. Acne is far more internally based than externally though there are some things that will help avoid any adverse reactions your body might have to certain substancesKeep your bedspread clean (change pillowcase every 3 days and bedspread every week)Use only organic soaps made with essential oils (no fragrances, nothing artificial on acne prone areas. Avoid lavender and tea tree oil though (you don't want to increase estrogen levels), all other essential oils are fine. Wash your hands every time you use the bathroom and avoid touching door knobsDon't touch your face or pick at it (it can lead to infection or further inflammation) The key is to keep oil production and inflammation downGood luck, I got rid of my acne completely following these rules and hopefully you can too
LOL…Wow, okay…first of all, don't use the trendy products. Proactiv doesn't work. Oh, it's swell for a few months but that's about it. Benzoyl peroxide is a great idea. Do that. It works. Book another appointment with your dermatologist, but for you, I strongly suggest the extra help of an esthetician. They have so many tips and tricks up their sleeves along with mild treatments that don't hurt. You may need Retin-A, Doryx, and Benzaclin or at least Acanya. Just see your derm again and say, "Hey, this gel ain't working. What else can we do?" I understand your frustration and I know that your face will get better because you seem smart and commited to improving yourself. Derm and especially and esthetician! Best of luck!
Source(s): Had a horrific bout of hormonal acne at age 22 and tried everything. Saw a derm and esthetican, took my meds, prayed, gave it some time, and now I look great! Good luck, darlin'!
