What is the beauty in growing old?
I think one of the beautiful things about growing old is growth as an individual. Constantly renewing yourself and continuously becoming a different better person. Improvement that can only be received by age. Getting to a point where your skin, health, and physical ability may not be the same as it was years ago but you can still ask yourself "What do I have?" and think of so many answers.
What do you think the beauty is in growing old?

I disagree with some of the previous answers: Not everyone gains wisdom with age.I think embracing the beauty of growing old lies in acceptance. Serenity will follow. Meaning, you can't fight the inevitable, so you might as well embrace life itself, with all it's pitfalls, including the ailments of growing old. Find life beautiful. Perspective is everything.
Our stay in this world would be a really arduous one if it were not for the re-definition of our ideals we do all the time. Its not just the experience you gain when you grow old which yields you placidity, but also your inferences from them and your analysis of them. Putting your mind under a microscope as you grow old is something that buoys up growing older. Indeed, its beautiful to grow old.
Knowing that you can be your authentic self. I have always been that way. I have always looked in the mirror & loved what I saw. I smile when I see myself in the mirror & I am probably not as physically as beautiful as many but my personality & love for myself more than makes me more beautiful. I think when people look around & all their friends are looking the same. They have wrinkles & white hair they know that what matters is on the inside.
Gaining that wisdom about yourself and life which cannot be explained because it is very abstract and only you understand that wisdom which only comes through EXPERIENCE. Its the most beautiful thing and its actually the complete opposite of a thing to fear. You must embrace it. Source(s): Siddhartha
Physical signs of old age show the beauty of your past experiences, things learned and done, and emotions…as you grow old, you're basically proving you lived.
Knowing yourselfBeing yourself.Improving on yourself.Being humble.
Hopefully, the sloughing off of some awkward selfconsciousness and self-centeredness.
I agree. Also a feeling of accomplishment and a desire of service to others, who may benefit from your wisdom…
