Check out this linkhttp://www.facelab.org/Publications/medi…It has links to "factual" studies in regards to what is beautiful – I think either me or everyone else is missing the point in the question. To me it reads like you need to go over what actually causes humans to be attracted to another as opposed to various isolated opinions (I stress isolated, because I would assume the way it is studied is to get thousands of opinions and compare features of said opinions)
Beauty is relative to each observer and subject. A person is beautiful when he or she (I'll use the pronoun 'he' for simplicity's sake) is comfortable in his skin, and does not mind if others think he is less than beautiful. Beauty is not in the eye of the beholder; it is in the mind of the beheld. Beauty is an illusion, a perception, an idea created by others in a group. Beauty does not exist except in our minds. If all humans were blind, would there be beauty? If skinny and fat, dark and light, nappy hair or smooth, were invisible, could a person still be beautiful? You cannot see true beauty, because what makes a person beautiful is not what others see.I hope this helps you some. If you can successfully argue that beauty is an illusion, I think your professor will be impressed. First you'll have to define 'beauty,' though – maybe give a couple dictionary definitions (cite them!) and then say why you agree or disagree, then say what you think beauty is.
WTF? Beauty IS in the eye of the beholder. Who's making you write this without the number one rule involved? >_<O' well, I agree with the other answerers. Find a quote you like, and base your paper around it, or a striking, odd image you like, or something that no one else likes, and discuss how/why beauty relates.Personally, I do disagree that beauty is ONLY skin deep, but I don[t think being skin deep is a bad thing either because it alludes that one should bypass the surface design for some inner beauty beneath it. We should love our bodies, not ignore them. You may use that as a prompt.Edit: Q and Robert B have very good, and more topical, points. *applauds*Good Luck!
Like for the first quote you could write something like beauty depends on the persons precpective and experiences?Like for example, if you grew up seeing your older sister get boys and stuff then as you grow older that will be how you define beauty and how you would want to look.Something like that anyway
Hope this helped
Beauty is not the word for someone's physical appearance. Beauty is bird song, is sunshine, is the essence of life. Beauty is a word overused and for the wrong purposes. Its the everyday things that people take for granted. Beauty is not a thing or a act. Its a state of mind. :3
You can talk about how everybody has a different definition and prospective of beauty. Someone can find something attractive on someone, but somebody might think it's the most unattractive thing about them.
Hair makes women beautiful. I mean with out hair women are ugly. Hair if treated and styled right can be the most beautiful part of a women's body.
If ur well groomed with a good personality ur beautiful also theres this scentific theory too chekc it out
beauty is on the inside and how a person see's themselves and not what other people think of them.
Beauty is the way something looks. There is nothing else to say about it.
Pick one of your quotes and try to write what they mean
i believe its whats on the inside.
