Best Answer – Chosen by Voters I recommend an online insurance quote. It's free and generally hassle free. http://www.autoadvicetips.com/Auto-Insur… Hope it works out
There are lots of ifs here. You must maintain comprehensive insurance for the lender in case your car is damaged while it's parked. If you don't the lender will get insurance for you. The rest depends on which state you're in. You must surrender your tags and registration before the insurance lapses or you could lose your license, face heavy fines, and possibly have the car impounded even though you are not driving it.
The lien holder will get a VSI (vendors single interest) policy and add the premium to the loan. The premium is very expensive and it will not pay to repair your vehicle if it is damaged while in storage. It will only protect the lien holder if the vehicle is damaged if it is taken by the lien holder for non payment. Source(s): insurance broker
You will be sorry if you do that. The lender will insure it FOR you at a VERY inflated rate and add it to your loan, which means you will not only pay about double for the ins, but you will be paying INTEREST on it too.If at all possible, insure it yourself QUICKLY.
In AZ, the state will suspend your registration, the lender will add their insurance to your loan, which only protects their interest in the vehicle and is very expensive. It doesn't cover you for liability.
they vll sen sme long notices before they cancel it..n dey vll make u pay the whole thing ny hw including the intrest calculated…dnt evn think of doin it.. Source(s): http://www.crossquote.com/
autoinsurance.noneto.com – try this one. I personally have their car insurance, cause it is the cheapest for me in our area.
Then they'll just cancel your policy. If you owe any money, they'll send you a final bill.
Depends on what state you live in, in California there might be some problems….
