What does the lower case i mean in iPod, iMac, Wii, etc.?
I am curious as to what the lower case i represents in all the new electronic devices. Then just today I saw a commercial for skin care with the phrase skiniD…Seems this must mean something but I cannot seem to find an answer anywhere.

Best Answer – Chosen by Voters Well i have no idea about the others but i beleive the ii in wii is ment to be like two people by each other meaning it is a multiplayer console.
i(blank) is usually a trademark of an Apple product and third-party products for iPods (and other Apple products) usually keep the i(blank) theme to trick people into thinking they are buying official Apple merchandise – for example iHome products.I have no idea about the Wii but it beats calling it a Wee!
Don't worry about it. You can't handle the truth.
