Toe Nail Not Growing Like it should be.?

Okay. So my toenail is like not growing like its suppose too. I have had problems with ingrown toenails for a while and I got them taken care of with my doctor and had both toenails removed. One is growing right and the other has grown right for the nail part but instead of having some regular white at the end I have like white from the middle to the end. Something happened like its not on the skin and when I look at my nail I can turn it where my nail is pointing up and look down in my nail. Its pretty weird. I wish I had pictures to help you see it more. But Im helpless.I don't know what to do. I don't know if it grew on the nail bed right but Im just tired. And In about a two weeks my instructor for my winterguard team is going to paint my toenails and I dont want him to be like eww your toenails are not right. Help!!
