Something I started writing.. what do you think of it?
Chapter 1; Intro.
Hey the name’s Leila, born November, 22, 1994. I’m originally from Chicago, don’t get the wrong idea by that, I know it doesn’t have the best reputation. But whatever, get over it.
When I was almost one year old, my mother dropped me off on some woman’s doorstep because she was basically a druggy and couldn’t handle me. The women took me in on this stormy day and raised me.
My earliest memories with the women are all from the sammich shop. I remember when I was three; we walked into a shop called “Jewels” and I heard her yell “gimme a beef pronto” Those words are the first words I remember outta her mouth. Strange huh? Well so am I.
This woman I now call mom but whose name is Nerissa, looks a little somethin’ like this; dark skin and nice long brown curly hair. She’s never really getting ready, she wakes up, throws on some clothes, and brushes her hair, although occasionally she’ll put on some eyeshadow or cover- up. A lotta people don’t see her inner beauty, but I do, so thats all that matters to her.
So now you wanna know what I look like? Fine, I’ll tell ya’. I got the light colored skin and light brown hair. I’m a tomboy, and I aint afraid to admit it. I wear makeup; eyeliner, cover-up, mascara, you get the point. I dress in baggy clothes usually. And thats all about me.
Chapter 2; October 3, 2008.
“Yo Leila get outta the frunchroom with those muddy shoes, I just cleaned it,” yelled my mom. Why does she care? It looks da same as before, and what does she expect, I just got back from playin’ football in the alley. “Whatever you say, what are we eatin’ for dinner?” “I’mma run to Jewels and pick up a couple sammichs , okay with you?” She shouts back. “Yeah, sure, whatever, I’ll have a sausage with everything, plus ketchup” “I’ll be back in 30 minutes” She says as runnin’ out the door.
I plop down on the couch and watch some MTV, its so dumb, I don’t care ‘bout Brit anymore, well I neva did, but im sicka hearin’ ‘bout her.
Next thing I know da phone is ringin’ “Yo” I say sharply as I pick up da phone. Whaddya know, its my only friend Rita “ ‘Eh whaddup?” She says loudly. “ Ehh waitin’ for my mom to get home with dinner. Whaddabout you?” “Well not much, but I’m callin cuz I sware I just seen your real mom on the tube” She says. “I don’t care about her, why you tellin’ me? You know I hate to talk about her” “ Well youz betta care, the t.v says she outta jail in a few days” She screams into the phone. “Nah, that aint possible, she aint due out for at least a year. She done so much drug dealing.” “Well believe it hun, but I gotta go cuz I got a ring on the other line waitin’. Peace” She says and hangs up the phone. I cant believe this, it cant be true, I’mma go into hiding if she gets out Im scared of her, she tried to get me back once when I was 9, but she couldn’t, I’m terrified.
I tell mom when she gets home, and she cant believe it either “Theres gotta be a mistake hun, it just cant be true, it cant The court woulda contacted us by now, but I’ll give ‘em a ring as soon as we done eatin’. Don’t worry about it,” Mom says assuring. “Well I hope she aint gettin’ out, she knows where we live, and she wants me back ya know?” “I know baby,” Mom says quietly.
Chapter 3; October 3, 2008. The phone call
Mom picks up da phone and dials the courts number, she says, “Yeah? Hello? I needa talk to Judge Marsh please.” She pauses for awhile, she must be on hold. My stomach is doing sprints up and down the court waiting for da answer. “Yes, Judge Marshall? This is Nerissa callin’ on behalf of my daughter Leila,” she pauses “you were expecting my call huh? Well is her mother gettin’ out? Whats the deal?” her face droops a little on this pause, oh no, what goin’ on? “And why the hell didnt you call? Do you know what that woman is going to do? She’s gonna come around my side of the neighborhood and try to take my baby away … I don’t care if youz watchin’ her, she down right did it before … Fine you can put this little girl in a state of fear, but if I even see that nasty woman around my baby you’ll be gettin’ a lawsuit You hear me?” She slams the phone down. “She’s out huh?” I whisper. She replies, “Baby, she is going to stay away, don’t be afraid. She cant do nothin’ to you. They be watchin’ her, okay? You gonna be jus’ fine ” I feel my eyes swell up, I run into my room and shut the door.
Chapter 4; October 4, 2008. Schools a wreck.
I walk in the school doors and Rita runs up to me and says, “Ehh, ya know everyone is talkin’ ‘bout yo mom gettin out?” “Who gives,” I say. She rolls her eyes and says, “You do, I know you do, but its alright.” I just nod.

It is good but what does it mean by "All of the sudden a guy nam" ? I think you should make the chapters longer not because they aren't good but they need more. Keep up the good work.
