SHould I see a dermatologist?
It makes me really depressed! I am 20 and feel asthough my skin condition holds me back from a lot of things. I am insecure, have low self esteem. And now I cry all the time. My mom and four sisters have flawless, gorgeous skin. Its so depressing, I can never feel good about myself.
Here is my daily skin care routine:
Morning: wash face with clinique acne solution soap, apply philosophy moisturizer for sensitive skin
Night: Use dove cloths to remove makeup, wash with a bit of dove soap and then panoxyl or clinique acne solution. philosophy moistuizer again.
I was also wondering if my diet would impact skin condition. I dont drink milk (i know so bad…) I cannot stand the taste, I usually take calcium vitamins. But I wanted to know if not drinking milk would contribute in anyway to my dull, not smooth complexion.
Thank you

i have the same skin problems as you! finally i toughed it out and went to the dermatologist, and boy, was it a huge help! it can't hurt to do to the dermatologist, it can only help. i'd make an appointment!
See a dermatologist, and what they reccoment. Please don't get upset, I'm sure that you'll be able to figure something out with your doctor, I wish you the best of luck. PS.You could try the 'Simple' skin care range, it's for sensitive skin, no alcohol, no colour, no soap, I use it and I have excema (dermatitis). They have moisturisers, face wipes, shower gel, etc.Good luck. Source(s): Personal use and doctors recomendation for face wash and moisturiser
yeah ive tried about everything except chemical procedures im using proactive again for some reason….when i went to the dermatologist he prescribed me pills and had to take them fro 6 mths to start noticing any difference which i didnt because i dont like taking medication…but another dermatologist made this concotion with alchohol the (drinking kind) and something else whcih really cleard my skin up. so try going to a dermatoligist that is part of family practice
Clinique isn't really good for treating acne, my co-worker has been on it for 4 months and its not getting any better. Try murad, it works really really good!! You should see results within a weeks time, i did. And I bought vitamin A pills at a drug store for 3 bucks, vitamin A helps control oil glans, and dead skin cells. I started taking that about 3 weeks ago, and my face is clearer aside from some redness. And the women in my family have goregous skin too! And milk wouldn't have anything to do with acne, it just has vitamin B's in it, and it helps with bone density.
