Should I Get Proactiv?
I have seen a lot on proactive. and i am really considering getting the new stuff. I was wondering if, from your experience, proactive has worked for you. I do not have many zits, but i want to get rid of the ones i have. and take care of my skin. so i want the one that works the best and fastest. Should i get it? does something else work better? please only reply if you have actually used the product. Thanks

I bought it and it is horrible. It doesnt work and it made my acne worse i was very dissapointed. :[ Try Clearasil use the regular face wash every morning and everynight and then before you go to sleep use the 4 hour pimple remover cream or whatever :]
The active ingredient in Proactiv is 2.5% Benzoyl Peroxide. You can buy benzoyl peroxide face products in any store for typically much less than Proactiv charges. If you have tried benzoyl peroxide in the past and it hasn't worked for you, then Proactive wont do you any good. Everyones skin is different. Some people it works for and some people it doesn't. Benzoyl peroxide works well for me and I use proactiv as well as Clean and Clear's benzoyl peroxide face wash (which has 10% benzoyl peroxide and works wonderfully). I worked for a call center for several years and I took orders for Proactiv (as well as several other products). I can tell you that Proactiv does work well for many people. I received much more positive feedback about Proactiv than I did negative. I also believe many of the people Proactiv didn't work for weren't using it as directed. Everyones skin is different so there's no way to say if it would work for you. I believe Proactiv is a great product. If you do decide to buy it, look around for deals. A lot of times you can get it for half off by calling a certain number. Also, if you do buy Proactiv, it comes with a 60-day money back guarantee so if it doesn't work for you, you can send back the empty bottles and they will get you a refund, then you would only be out the shipping charge. Best of luck. Source(s): Have tried Proactiv personally and spoke with thousands of others who have tried it.
No I don't think you should waste your money on proactiv. Go to a dermatologist this way they can see the acne you have and prescribe you something for your skin based on your acne problem. I have used it and in my experience no it didn't work. For some it does work and for some it doesn't work. A majority of people I know that have used it, it has not worked for them either. If you do not want to go to a dermatologist then get some face washes and that can help or try proactiv and maybe it will work for you. Source(s): Used proactiv
It made my face so red, I would have preferred acne.Try this instead.Everyday wash your face. Then apply 2.5% benzoyl peroxide to your entire face. (Same amount as lotion)Immediately apply lotion.Do this in the mornings and in the nights, and your acne will be gone in a couple weeks. At first your skin turns red and irritated, but it depends on how your skin reacts.Be careful, and note that if your allergic to benzoyl peroxide this treatment is not for you.
I have been using it for about four years and it works awesome. When I started using it, I used it as they recommend ( morning and night) however now I only use it at night. In the morning i just wash my face with warm water and finally with could to close pores. I only get it every four months, instead of very two months. I think you should try it, it might work for you as well.
