Should I get my belly button repeirced??! HELP!!?

I had my peirce done the first time on my belly last year around june. I got it periced and it was fine the first week, i took great care of it every day putting salt water purificaion on it, i had it for around 3-4 months and it strated bleeding and yalloe stuff comingout, i think it was infected. and the skin bewteen it et lessening, andit got very thin and i got scared it was just going to rip off. my skin kpt getting thinnger and thinner, so i took it out. now its around 8 months withot a belly peirce and my belly peircing mark is clod, but i can still see the mark but its actually closed already… i was thinking should i get it repeirced??? or should i leae it, it looks really good on me but imn scared it will happen again. what do you guys think?? what was the problem? and also if i do get it peiced what should i consider
