Undecided Question

She's driving me crazy! What should I do about this girl?

Alright, when it comes to my love live, I am easily described as hopless. I am 18 and have never ever had a girlfriend, and the only girls who have liked me are ones I definately would not get along with (there were only like three of those.) I am also going into the Army (active) after High School as an Infantry Recruit

Now to the problem. There's this girl named Chantal who I met a month or so ago during auditions for our school musical. She immediately caught my eye, but then I found out she was a freshman. I am a senior. Well, a few weeks ago on a Monday I was joking around with a few of my friends at lunch about girls, and I brought her up. I found out one of my friend's sister is good friends with her, and he asked if I wanted him to tell his sister. I said no, because I, in desperation, tried stuff like that before, and it never worked. Well, while playing Xbox Live later that night, I receive a message saying that his sisters knows, and I of course want to kill him for telling her. It appears that wasn't the case, and in fact Chantal has been talking about me, saying I seem like a cool guy and she wants to get to know me. So, I agree to let my friend's sister give Chantal my number, and we text a little bit. I wasn't much of a texter, so the conversation doesn't go very far, and I tell her that. Well, I learned to text very quickly after that. Later that week, a huge snowstorm hits, and she asks me if I want to go sledding. We schedule on Valentine's day. Now, all this time I think she likes me, but her best friend told (and still tells) me that she doesn't like me in that way. Well, of course this hits me hard, but nevertheless, we BOTH have a great time on Valentine's day.

Now, we talk a lot over the phone, but in person, it's kinda…eh. It doesn't get very far. I don't know if it's because she's nervous because she does indeed like me (and her friend is lying), or…yeah. I tried something last week that she (and her mom) thought was very nice: I brought her cupcakes. And she LOVED them. We are, as of this moment, planning on hanging out again this weekend (March 5th), and I am currently planning on asking her to prom. And also, the way she looks at me is just magical (as corny as that sounds), and when I was at this lock-in, I caught her looking at me a lot…)

Now to a little about this girl. If I could make my dream girl, she would have dark brown hair, brown eyes, pale skin, very skinny (seems to be a trend with me…), really funny, extremely nice, listens a lot (I do like to talk sometimes), and be very interesting and like to talk (I also like to listen). I also like a girl with great legs. Now, don't think I'm a perv, because I prefer girls to be…clothed. My friends think I'm strange when I say I don't like to think of girls in *that* way. In fact, she dresses very nicely and I could care less. But anyways, she fits every single category. Heck, she even has a French name and takes French as a class! (I like it when girls speak in French…). Also her eyes are just gorgeous, and her smile quite literally almost made me pass out one day..

So, what should I do??!?!?!?!!!?? I find her to be perfect (so far), to the point where she made me find video games unenjoyable and to the point where I'm looking for all sorts of advice to give myself some confidence. I don't want to mess this one up…
