Wash your face with a light exfoliater, use a non-alcohol toner, use a small amount of extra virgin olive oil on a cotton pad, and rub it all over your skin, this exfoliates while moisturizing at the same time without irritating the skin. Dont be affraid of olive oil, Its great for the skin and no, it wont break you out. Let it sit for about 5 to ten minutes, so it can absorb, you dont want your face to feel like a grease ball. Then apply your normal moisturizer. Allow that a few minutes to absorb. Then apply a primer, also allow that a couple of minutes to absorb, then you're ready for foundation. I would recommend rimmel fix and perfect primer, and revlon colorstay foundation. They have a combination/oily skin formula, and a normal to dry. Both drug store products. I hope this helps you like it helped me, because I suffered from the same issue. =]
a powder foundation will stick to your dry skin just as much as a liquid foundation would.i would suggest more moisturizer, and make sure to get a foundation with moisturizer in it.there are some foundations which are half moisturizer(covergirl has one), which sounds like it would be awesome for you.also, if the dryness is extremely bad, or itchy at all, see your doctor. they can help you!try cetaphil(a professional moisturizer that they sell at the doctors).i would also suggest trying a foundation with cool tones, because when my skin was dry i was using one with for warm tones and it made the dry skin look orange!i hope this helps! As long as you are following a skin care routine that is meant for dry skin you should be fine. I would be sure to moisturize though, although you don't need to glob lots on or apply moisturizer ten times a day. As far as a foundation, I would try something that also has a moisturizer in it. Almay has this really cool makeup out called "Smart Shade Smart Balance" not only does is start out white and then adjusts to your right color (taking the guess work out of choosing a color), but the "Smart Balance" part helps balance the ph levels of your face aka if you are dry it will add moisture but if you are oily it will help matify your skin. u can still use foundation.but a good way to keep your skin soft and have moisture is Shea Butter. It works great. You just put some one every night and in about a week, your face should be filled with moisture. It actually starts working right away. It can be around 25$. I get it at the Body Shop.
well u might need to change foundation? i use dinair airbrush makeup and its awesome cause its all water based so its not bad for my skin…it just sits on the surface and doesnt clog my pores…it covers everything and makes my skin look flawless…i love it…ive been using their makeup for almost 3 years now and its my fav makeup hands down…anywho…hope i helped..=)
i think u should just try & apply a moisturizer before u put on your foundation, your skin wont feel or look dry & it'll look great & last longer(try it before changing your foundation)
Definitely not powder foundation. It will just make it look dryer. Clinque has a moisture foundation that I love.
do you exfoliate your skin once or twice a week?
