My friend doesnt care about how she looks any more – how can i help her?
Since then she has decided to spend all her time devoted to religion and the rest on her job. She has stopped exercising, eats really bad and doesnt take care of her skin anymore or pay attention to fashion. She used to be really pretty but she is one of those people who puts on weight really easily so she is pretty overweight now.
She has not had a date for 3 years since she broke up with her ex. It concerns me that she doesnt care about her appearance anymore because guys care about looks and i dont want her to end up alone. Shes a great person and deserves to find someone good but she does not look good at all now and doesnt seem to care.
Any advice on how to tell her or help her?

Best Answer – Chosen by Voters just be stern and tell her the truth… you are her friend and you're only trying to help
tell her thats shes the temple of the holy ghost and God dont want her to destroy it.
She must know that god have made us (humans), so we love, care, and socialize. not for becoming somehow slaves, because god simply could have created slaves, I'm sorry I respect her opinion but I think she's looking at the dark side.As she is religious, she should understand that god asked us to not hurt our bodies, going overweighted is simply a way to hurt it, and staying somehow isolated isn't what god wants us to go for.God have made a wonderful earth so we discover, explore and live it. not to kill ourself when we are alive. I think she is depressed and she is using religion as a cover up for it. I've been hardcore christian before, and it's easy to convince yourself that nothing on earth matters but God and Jesus and it's easy to use it as an excuse to let yourself go. out of concern, I would ask her if she's been depressed or feeling depressed. If she gets defensive, don't get defensive back. Just say something like, "Well it's just because you've been acting different these days. You've been careless with your appearance and you aren't as healthy as you use to be. I just say this because I care and I want you to be happy." Find out ways to help friends who are depressed. There is a good resource at about0o0com: http://depression.about0o0com/cs/basicfact… I hope things work out for you and your friend…kudos for wanting to help her. Good luck.
