Message tone is not working in Nokia N72 cellphone?

i have a nokia N72 phone. It was working fine till some days back its stopped playing message tone and also the vibrator. Although both are working fine if heard otherwise. Even when I get a call, the phone vibrates, but when a message comes, it neither plays the tune, nor it vibrates. I deleted many messages thinking may be its due to overloading of messages, but that too didnt work out. Anyone knows how to fix this thing?
