Mary Kay or Beauty Society?
I'm 21years old wanting to sell skincare and makeup fun and that's a good buy. So should I sign up for mk or beauty society? Any other cosmetic or skin care companies?

This is a great question – both offer flexible income and fun business opportunities. Having personally been in the direct selling industry for over 20 years now, and having sold for both companies, I'd like to point out a few key differences so you can make a decision for yourself:1. PARTY PLAN:Both are party companies – you can sell direct to people and do one-on-one facials, but best sales are made at home parties. However, hostess benefits are paid by you for Mary Kay events (you buy special little hostess gifts at a discount from the company, which you give to your hostess at the show). Hostess benefits are paid entirely by Beauty Society (usually 15% of party sales plus some free gifts/products depending on how much sells).2. INVENTORY OPTIONS:Mary Kay has you purchase inventory up front, so you can make cash immediately at your parties. You may not always have in stock what the customer wants, but having product for people to take home with them is an advantage, because people sometimes want it NOW. In the event you do not have product on hand, you will need to place a new order. Once you receive the products, you will deliver (or send) to each of the people who bought at the party. Depending on where you are, it will usually only take a week to ten days to get your order from Mary Kay.Beauty Society does not have you carry inventory – unless you choose to. Each order ships direct to each individual customer (even party orders). Shipping is lightning fast (usually within 24 hours) and customers receive products within 3 to 5 days after the party is submitted to headquarters.3. PROFITMary Kay consultants earn 50% profit – that is, they get a 50% discount if they are on "active" status. To be active, you must have placed a $400 retail order within that quarter.Beauty Society consultants earn 25% to 50% profit. 25% if they only sell $100 in a month, and a sliding scale up to 50% depending on how much they sell in a given month. You will receive your commission the following month based on how much you sold this month.4. GUARANTEE/RETURNSYour Mary Kay director will help you with customer returns. I think a customer has up to 30 days to return a product she does not like.Beauty Society has a 1 year unconditional money back guarantee on their entire skin care line and a 30-day money back guarantee on their makeup line.IN THE END… it's up to your lifestyle, preferences, and what your goals are for your business. Mary Kay is a big name that many people know and love. Beauty Society is a newer line, a bit higher quality, but also a bit more expensive. If you'd like more information, please feel free to contact me and I can help answer any other questions you may have.Jenni Fredstrupjenni@lovethyskin0o0comhttp://www.lovethyskin0o0comhttp://www.marykay0o0com/fredstrup Source(s): http://www.marykay0o0comhttp://www.beautysociety0o0com

i like MaryKay better
If you have a passion for make-up go to school and become a beautician. MLMs like Avon and Mary Kay take on anybody, regardless of background or apttitude. All they care about is if your order product from them. The people you sign under make a commission off of your orders, not your sales, so they are going to harrass you to make monthly orders and so on. Not worth it!
As an Image Consultant it's important I choose products that I trust. Thus, I represent AVON/Mark. Mark is great because the makeup competes on the same level as major brands. The fashions are great and another way to earn money. Plus you can throw e-parties, fun makeover parties with friends or have a fundraiser. Before joining any makeup/skincare company consider the registration fees, % of sales you receive, upline support (the person who signs you up) and the company's reputation?Anymore questions?
