Undecided Question
Isn't being attracted to light skin and thin features natural?
I don't know why this is seen as "brainwashing" or a result of colonization. My country, Ethiopia, has no history of colonization and YET the standard of beauty is straight hair and light skin (caucasoid features). Even many other countries that have no history of being colonized by Europe see light skin and those features as attractive and better. The only thing that is seen as unattractive in my country are colored eyes as it is a sign of evil omens. Anyways, the only place in the world where these features tend to be seen as unattractive is west Africa, I am guessing they are really just deluding themselves. Isn't it natural to be attracted to caucasoid features?

It's Okay if you're attracted to Caucasoid features, but some people have different opinions.I live in the Arab World, here people like very light skin and coloured eyes, but on the contrary to Europe many people like very pale skin and chubby faces, that's why most Arabic singers do plastic surgeries and look chubby with catty-fake eyes, and in my opinion they look like sh*t this way (Traditional beauty standards are different from one country to another, but International beauty standards prevail now, function of Globalization). Anyway, it doesn't really mean Arabs have low self-esteem, since they can have light features too, just like Italians and Spaniards can… there are regional differences, for example people in Northern Syria look lighter than Greeks and Turks, kind of like Chechens, many have red hair and green eyes (especially in Aleppo), while in Yemen they tend to look like Ethiopeans and Somalis and the Kuwaitis look like Indians.I'm Palestinian and I have thin features and a very light pink pale skin (it's not uncommon in Levant), I also have thin features and high cheeckbones, with not-too-dark brown eyes and chestnut-brown-dirty blond hair, but I want to get a fricken tan and I hate the way I look so I really wish everyone thought like you did… but for me Enrique Iglesias is the god I want to be like.

WOW….the things people dilute themselves into believing to make themselves right *shaking my head* No, light skin and thin features are NOT a natural attraction. I suggest you take a biology and Sociology courses ASAP. Features and skin type varies in different regions and culture and the theory of attraction is base on your environment and regionPlease crack a book and read it, instead of looking at the cover
no it's not natural……and it's surprising you haven't gotten help as yet for your ridiculous issues
You are DELUSIONAL if you believe that you have not been COLONIZED. In fact, colonization is deeply embedded in the MINDS of those who reason in the manner in which you have.
Just because you're attracted to light skin and thin features, that doesn't mean it's "normal."It's silly to deny that certain groups are placed above all others in common media as the most attractive. This obviously molds the minds of some people into believing what you believe. I don't think that it's "normal" to be attracted to light skin and thin features, but since light skin and thin features are hailed by the white-controlled media (no surprise) as the ultimate in physical attraction, they have convinced others to believe what they believe.I'm not denying that light skin and thin features CAN be attractive but to say that they are the ONLY type of physical beauty would be a blatant lie.

Then that is where you need to be. But in THIS country, there are all types and colors of women, and all types and colors of men like them.If all people from Ethiopia are like you, then in my opinion, it sucks.
its not "natural" to be attracted to anything due to where you live.everyone is a individual, everyone is entitled to their own taste.
You won't find a definitive answer to this question. In my lifetime, I have been attracted to women of all skin colors.
We all know that you are NOT Ethiopian. so please stop with the strange obsession.Doreen, he is not Ethiopian, he has claimed Dominican in the past- then some other stuff. He is just trying to start trouble.
Damn what is it with skin in this section? Why can't we like people for who they are and not what their skin color is?
What's your point in asking a question like this? And are you actually saying that West Africans are "deluded" for not adopting white beauty standards? You don't represent the true feeling and standards of Ethiopians. Who do you think you're kidding?
No, because no one I know is attracted to that more than others. Beauty comes in all shapes/shades and sizes. Haven't you noticed most people who love whites always love their status or perceived power? Thats because they know they're pretty damn ugly.
Native ethiopians don't have light skin.Nor do they have straight hair. Straighter than west africans, perhaps, but by no means straight. So no, if you're basing what you naturally find attractive on the people surrounding you (which is incorrect to do so btw), then it's not natural for you to find features not found on your peers attractive. And no, all features are attractive, whether they be mongoloid, caucasoid or ne.groid.p.s. straight hair and light skin are not 'caucasoid features'. the clue to 'features' is in the name, as in FACIAL. hair and skin tone have nothing to do with the facial region. racial features are defined by bone structure, nothing else you uniformed idiot.
