Is Vaseline Intensive Care lotion ok to use on my toddler's sensitive skin?
My 18 month old son has extremely sensitive skin and eczema. I constantly struggle to keep the eczema under control. I recently bought Vaseline Intensive Care lotion, the hypoallergenic/unscented kind to try. It doesn't say suitable for babies, but not all do. Has anyone tried this? I've already tried Aveeno and at least 5 other kinds.

My son has eczema and yes i use it and i do aveeno oatmeal baths every two weeks or so. Lotion eveytime out of the bath and only bath every two to three days! Aveeno also has a calimine cream that works really well on out breaks of itch and if the lotion stings sometimes i switch to just vaseline for a couple of days!! Try not to let them get to warm either and I use All free and clear laundry deturgent and now so does his daycare… I know that this is a little bit more detail then you asked but i have been through a lot of trials with him!! lol And if my experience can help you then Yay for you!! Source(s): Three year old with eczema and work in a derm clinic!! feel free to contact me if you have any other ?'s
It's probably okay. My all-time favorite lotion (for s and kids) though, is Aveeno. I always but the beige bottle with the green pump (I think it's the oatmeal one). It's really smooth and fast absorbing, with zero scent or dyes. Eucerin is good, but it's so greasy I hate using it and wouldn't put it on my daughter.
That one is a really good one. I bought it for mine and my sons eczema and it really helped when nothing else would. It was actually recommended to me by his doctor so go ahead and give it a try. Source(s): I agree that Euceryn is good too.
You should use lotion that has no fragrance and no dye, Euceryn is a very good one. That is the one I typically use and have no problems with it. There are also specific ones for infants. Try looking in the isle where they sell baby bath products.
