   Because the law states you have to carry proof of insurance, but that isn't a moving violation and shouldn't increase your insurance premiums.

   Failure to carry registration IS NOT a moving violation, and should not effect your insurance.

   ususally if you go to court to protest it, the officer has to show up or the case will be dismissed. this usually happens for small infractions. Then it wont show up on your insurance. but make sure you get a copy of your registration before going. if you can show the judge that you have it but just not on that day, they usually let you off.

   only moving violations go on ins…not equiptment and registration stuff….go get a replacement and show it at court…ticket will go away..so no worry be happy
