Is the analogy to heath insurance and car insurance a bit absurd?
When people make that comparison that "we require people to buy car insurance so we should do the same with health" , by that account a car insurance company raises rates based on age ,experience, tickets
car wreaks.
So technically heath insurance should do the same thing but with different ways to jack up the price on you unless the government steps
in and then its government health care like we conservatives have been saying this is what Obamacare is going to lead to…?

It's Retarded. One is required to Protect the OTHER person !The only thing they have in common is bloodsucking lawyers who will take on any case knowing that they will never have to pay court costs.. no matter how ridiculous the case it.Car insurance is more like Malpractice Insurance .. which .. Lord of the Lawyers Obama is not willing to touch.Come to think of it, There is not a car insurance "crisis" in this country because they can be sold across state lines.. unlike health insurance.Dems claim they want more competition, but shoot down any proposal that would actually increase it.
I agree, another fact that they have left out is that you don't have to buy car insurance if you don't own a car. If you are human then you have to buy health insurance, thus it goes against our civil rights. If a big "if" they pass this bill it will be caught up in litigation for years and years.
Yes. People don't die without car insurance. Also, if someone does not have health insurance, goes to the emergency room, and can't pay the bill, guess who has to pay for it? Me. THAT's not fair. All Americans should be required to have health insurance for that very reason.
There is nothing wrong with health insurance companies raising the rates of people who smoke or mainline Krispy Kremes, or with auto insurance companies raising the rates of people who get tickets. It's a good analogy.
Yes. But funny thing is, with the Bacus bill having no public option, the insurance comanies are claiming that the fine is not high enough. Wonder why that is? Must be a good reason for it though because they care about us.
well, we are only required to buy car insurance to the extent that we can cover damage we do to others so yes, it is absurd
Yes, the government does not require you to drive.
No. Not at all unless you are a pawn of the Insurance Companies.
Yes
