Is My Skin Care Routine Good Or Bad?
And Im 13, I never really cared for my skin till now…
So, I Wake up and use Pond's Perfect Matte Oil control cleansing Foam (Deep cleanses to help prevent oil-related problems with anti-oil bio5), Then use a toner, which is Pond's Perfect Matte Control & Refine Toner (Deep pore cleansing for refreshed and purified matte skin with zinc minerals and royal jelly extract), then I use Pond's Flawless White Visible Lightening Day Cream as moisturizer. In the night, I use the same but instead of Pond's Flawless White cream, I use Pond's Pefect matte Oil Control Lotion (Since I cant get the Pond's Flawless White Night Cream for now)
So, is this good, and if not, why? And should I keep using the Pond's Perfect Matte Oil Control Lotion instead if Pond's Flawless White day/night creams?
I like pond's and I think its working, I was thinking of buying Laneige, so does any of you know which is better? Laneige or Pond's?
=D Thanks

Best Answer – Chosen by Voters I tried Pond Perfect Matte Oil control cleansing foam and it's great! For me though, I found that that was the only one of their products that I could use effectively. I only use that once a day, usually at night. After I use that, I use Clinique moisturiser for oily skin. Otherwise, my skin starts to get greasy regardless of just having used Oil control cleansing foam. Go figure. When I wake up, I just use a gentle face soap, I can't remember the brand but just a pretty plain one, like hand soap (but for your face), for greasy skin. This basically gets rid of any oil that has accumulated over night. After using that, I don't use anything, I just leave my face to sort itself out naturally. When I get back from school, I use that soap again and moisturise with Cilinique.A couple of years ago, I was doing something very similar to you and my skin didn't get better. If anything, it got worse. It's because you're washing away all your skins natural defences. To an extent, the less you clean your skin, the clearer it will be. Like how if you wash your hair to often, it will get greasier faster.Hope I helped. Good luck! Source(s): Personal experience.
Using Laneige works for some, may not work for some. It's best to give that a shot and see which you like better Laneige or Pond's.Well you might be applying too much. It'll damage your skin. It's best to stick with once a day. I would only recommend your morning routine. It's great
Btw from now on only put stuff on your T-zone. (forehead, nose, chin) (you probably already knew that tho lol):)
Ponds is a WIN, but your putting to much things on your face………when you put a lot of things on your face it causes build up, no matter if it cleans it or not Source(s): Been there, my dermatologist once told me a lot goes along way
Try Avon's Clear Skin kit. I've been using it since I was your age and now I sell the product for Avon because I love it so much! Source(s): http://www.youravon0o0com/heathermcclure
Make sure you are looking up all of your products on the Skin Deep site to see how toxic they are. You need to find products that not only work, but that do not harm you! These chemicals used daily get into your bloodstream. The FDA does not regulate any of these products, and the claims made on the label such as "safe" or "natural" do not mean anything! Here is the link for the Ponds products;http://www.cosmeticsdatabase0o0com/browse.php?brand_id=854Here is Laneige:http://www.cosmeticsdatabase0o0com/brand/Laneige/Do not use anything that has an ingredient of "fragrance". Over 70% of products tested with fragrance contain phthalates which DISRUPT HORMONES!! This especially important for children and teenagers to watch out for! Fatima, you are on the right track. Using the complete skin care line of ONE brand will always give you the best results. Your are still young so your skin will be going through some different stages. The only thing I would suggest adding for daytime use is an SPF30 sunscreen. Apply this right next to your exposed skin, before applying any other products. Other than that, just keep watching for changes in your skin and adjust your skin care regime accordingly.
