Is my belly button piercing rejecting?

I've been taking good care of my piercing; however, it feels like the piercing itself "shrunk". I can sort of see the piercing through the skin! What do I do? I'm doing a hot compress and soaking it in salt water. How can I make it better?

Best Answer – Chosen by Voters …I think if you can see it through the skin… that it's time to remove it, let it heal up, and have it re-pierced by a different person. =/ Source(s): I have a belly button ring,almost of a year.
