Is light skin the universal standard of beauty?
In almost every culture, women want to be lighter, except for maybe the U.S. culture? But still a long time ago in the US people wanted to be lighter. Is lighter skin naturally more feminine? Another interesting thing I picked up on is that in almost everyone culture a woman with an hourglass or curvy figure is considered beautiful? When I say curvy, I do not mean overweight or voluptous. A women with a full round bust, narrow waist, and wide round hips that are about the same size is her bust is generally viewed as attractive regardless of cultural.

Best Answer – Chosen by Voters not in my eye. i am white and i prefer dark-skin girls such as indigenous americans, dark-skin indians, mestizos.
It sure ain't the "Universal Standard of Beauty" even though some ppl consider it so. Maybe on TV n stuff like that e.g. more successful blacks (mainly females) in the entertainment Industry are usually lighter skinned which of course is ****……I don't think it's the same for some other races so it's not Universal
In some countries it is. I know that in the Philipphines, they like tanner skinned girls and in America like tanned skin too. The curvy figures is good because they say it's more of a healthy woman who can give healthy birth (fertility).answer mine!
If that standard of beauty isn't upheld in America, then it can't be universal, can it?
Darker skinned girls look more feminine to me than light skinned girls. Source(s): My opinion
