Is it safe to dye my hair in two months if??
Okay so, here's the thing. I got blonde highlights in my dark brown hair, I hated it so I went back to dark brown…so yeah of course my life being my life it went black. Fantastic. Anyhow I'm really light skinned. I just want to be a brunette my natural brunette. Anyhow I'm going to spend the next two months conditioning my hair and taking care of it. In two months can I use Loreal for Dark hair only on my hair to go to a obvious brunette?
Mya, I just ask cause I have long hair and I don't want to damage it so the question is can I dye my hair in two months?
( Sorry for miss-spells.)

yea, dark brown is really dark, so it's very close to black especially if it's left on a little too long, or in your case using probably a box dye (which is bad, bad, BAD)
I would suggest actually buying a cheap bottle of "prell" shampoo it will strip that color and make it fade for you, or you could try a dematerializer, layering on too much conditioner will be bad though, I would definitely suggest trying to fade, and strip some color out, AND THEN deep condition it for a while, only BECAUSE it is SO much better for you hair rather than to try and nurture it just to process it again. You can also get color remover as well. But from now on try to ask on here what you will need to color your hair to what color you want with pics of your hair color and the one you want, and i can tell you EXACTLY what to buy from Sally Beauty Supply to get your hair the right color next time

To go from black to brown requires bleaching even if you don't plan on going much lighter. Dye can not make hair lighter, which is why bleach is needed. I'm not sure how your hair would react if you applied bleach (since you do have bleached highlights underneath). Your hair can either go blonde, become orange and super brassy, or become damaged and fall off. Since you haven't dyed your hair dark too long ago, I would recommend to just keep washing your hair. The dark dye will eventually fade out. I went from blonde to dark brown once and in about 4-6 months my hair was almost back to the blonde shade it was. All I did was wash my hair and it faded (as dark dye does not stick well to blondes, at least on my hair). If you want to speed up the process, you can use a clarifying shampoo. Pantene ProV makes a really good one – it comes in a see through, blue bottle.
