Is it OK to use Proactiv at this age?
I am 10 years old. I know Proactiv is for teenage people but I have alot of arm acne and alot of acne on my thighs. I don't really have any acne on my face and I know that Proactiv sells body care. Is my skin to young to be having Proactiv on it? (only arms and thighs) I drink a lot of water but really nothing seems to be working.

As Lauren said, it sounds like you have "Chicken Skin" also know as Keratosis Pilaris. Almost 50% of people are affected by this. It's nothing uncommon and there's not much you can do for it. You can try to keep it controlled by applying a moisturizer after showering or bathing. Try to moisturize as often as possible. There is a chance you will outgrow this. Unfortunately, I am 19 and have had it my whole life. So it could go either way. The best thing to do is not worry about it and wait it out. Time and moisturizing is the closest thing to a solution.
that is actually almost definitely NOT acne.you probably have what i havetheres a long scientific name i forget but they nickname it chicken skinand it seems awful to you but is very unnoticeable to everyone else.you can get certain creams and body washes to help.ask the doctor if they have anything for youthe doctor's office often sells things like this that work much better and may be covered partially by your insurance, so it'd be cheaper.proactiv doesn't really work that well from what i've seen of my friends who use it.and you definitely don't want it if you're just getting it for you body.
I don't think there is anything in Proactiv that is bad for you. Acne and puberty starts at different ages for people, so I believe whenever those bumps start appearing, is a great time to start using preventative products to ease the breakouts. Proactiv contains benzoyl peroxide, witch hazel, and some herbal extracts which have been proven over the years to be effective in fighting acne. There's no surprise in what's in it. I think it's safe to use, just remember it can be drying and use it sparingly, just spot treatment. Source(s): http://www.proactiv-blog0o0com/the-ingredi…
Before you try proactive on your young and delicate skin try something natural.I recently just started using this Neem and Tea Tree Soap and it's eliminated most of my acne.If you want you can look at this website and show it to your parents, or you can just email them too.http://www.chagrinvalleysoapandcraft0o0com…
