Is it alright for the poet to misdirect at times?
A modern contemporary, trimmed well
colored skin and highlights gleam
with bright red door, double hung
and windows framed to give a view.
She is a beauty on the block.
One that makes eyes turn to stare
with accouterments neatly trimmed
to enhance and not detract.
She stands in all her radiance,
bemused at the stares she receives,
for she is after all, not a house!

It's the double-hung that concerns me (she raises an eyebrow)
Hmmm, tricky, Neon. My mind is circling the wagon and getting ready to zoom in on an answer. Obviously, the first thought is a house. Then, you throw the reader a curve. I think, maybe, she's the good looking woman in the neighborhood. Fun, imaginative, reading. Thanks for sharing. friends, shirley.
