Infected tattoo can I sue?
Me and two of my friends went and go tattoos exactly one week from today. My 1 friend and I had the same tattoo artist. Both of my friends tattoos turned out so-so, but mine turned out to be a mess. This is not my first tattoo, so I know how to take care of them. The tattoo when getting done had to be the most painful one I ever gotten and I knew right there something was wrong. A few hours later my tattoo swelled really bad and the redness started going down my arm. ( the tattoo is on my wrist) Then my tattoo started to puss and I realized that there is like a chunk of my skin missing as if the tattoo artist went way too deep. I called the tattoo parlor and asked them what to do and went down to show them and they blew me off blaming me and just walked away. It is now a week later and my tattoo is still swollen, red, pussing, and extremely painful. I did not sign a waiver none of us did.

It is your own fault, YOU didn't research the shop or the artist and you can't prove that they were the cause of the infection. You could have picked up some bacteria anywhere. Also, it doesn't sound as if it is infected, simply going to deep won't cause the skin to fall off, a severe allergic reaction to the ink can. Infections take time to grow, so it's unlikely that an infection would show within hours of getting it done. Allergic reactions however, can go from nothing to severe in a very short amount of time.Go to a Dr and get it checked out, that's all you can do.
If your in pain and its pussing and red and stuff then im pretty sure you can. although if that is supposed to happen then no i dont think you can. maybe do some research on the place to see if its happend to past customers. then youll have a case to present.
Sweetie, I think right now you should be focused on this tattoo and how infected it is. As a RN I would suggest you go to the ED to get some IV antibiotics before it gets worse. Then you can worry about suing him Source(s): CCRN
I'm not sure if you can do much since you didn't sign anything but yea he/she definitely went too deep. The skin on the wrist, at least the inside of the wrist, is very sensitive and thin. I don't know if you have many options to fix it unless you go to a very skilled artist.
They should have had you sign a wavier.. I would go to a doctor, and ask if it is the artists fault or if you are just reacting badly.
