Im 15 years old- how can I take care of my skin?
This is my regimine:
Night
-shower–> cleanse in hot water.
-dry face with tissue
-tone
-moisturize
Morning
-Splash face with cold water
-toner
-moisturizer
I do not do face peels or scrubs, etc. That is it. I have noticed that it is doing absolutely nothing to my face, it looks the same maybe even worse then before. Not smoother, pinker, etc. I have heard many things about what I should do.
Some tell me not to moisturize at night. But when I cleanse at night my face hurts and I have to put a moisturizer on.
Can you please tell me step by step what and when I should do to take good care of my skin so it looks more healthy? Please be specific- wether to use hot or cold water, when to dry my face, etc etc. Also anything else I can do besides cleans tone moisturize.
ex: morning-cleanse face, with warm water, tone, moisturize, night-nothing. every two weeks mask, every once a week face scrub, etc.
Also- any drug store products you can suggest?

Best Answer – Chosen by Voters You definitely don't want to be cleansing with hot water. It really dehydrates the skin. What you need to do is choose products that are gentle and suited for your skin type (dry, oily, combo, sensitive). Since you aren't complaining about breakouts and you say your face hurts when you don't moisturize and your face gets worse after scrubbing, I would guess that you have either a normal or dry/sensitive skin type. So look for products in the store that say for "dry skin" on the packaging. Here are the steps you should take when starting a cleansing routine….MorningStep #1. Splash your face with cool waterStep #2. Moisturize (preferably with a moisturizer that contains SPF)NightStep #1. Cleanse using cool water and rinse wellStep #2. Moisturize If your going to exfoliate, don't do it in the shower and no more than once a week. Its really easy and I hope it works for you! Source(s): I'm an Esthetician
Clean & Clear Morning Glow moisturizer is a very good moisturizer. Try Loreal 360 deep clean to cleanse..and hot water isn't good for your skin, but steam is. It opens your pores, so you can deep clean and moisturize. Maybe you're face is too sensitive for the toner and that's why it hurts to put moisturizer on. I hope it helps. Good luck.
You have the right idea. I read in a beauty book that one should never use hot water on the face. I really like a cleanser called neutrogena fresh foaming cleanser. It is a liquid. I also read in that book that bar soap is too harsh for the face. The book I am reading is the Beauty Buyble. I got the book at the public library.
i used to have extremely dry skin when i used any kind of product on my face. i began steps like this:1. shower- scrub face with hot/warm water2. at night- wash face with warm water and maybe even hand soap3. to dry- use a hand towel and pat it on ur face to get it dry.
hope this helps
You need to clean your skin, but it sounds very sensitive. Read this article about natural skin care. Source(s): http://hubpages0o0com/hub/Head-to-Toe-Skin…
