I need whatever this is to be removed?

This is very embarrasing. Since I was born, I've had this black skin area on my right buttock(i'm white). And its definately to big to be a beauty mark. It is basically the size of a quarter, maybe a little bigger. It definately noticeable to those who see my ***. I'm not really sure what it is exactly. I've had it since I was born so my parents have seen it and I guess its not a big deal since it was never removed if it can be removed. So, I don't really know what to do or if I can get rid of it. Help? serious answers please.
