I have a Hair Dyeing and beauty question????
I have dark brown hair (almost black) and I wanna dye it light brown. My friend says that you first have to use the peroxide which dyes your hair yellow, then use the light brown dye, Is it like that?
Or how do you do it? I'm planning to dye my hair at home, and i never dyed it before.
By the way, what hair color would look good for me? And please don't say anything about highlights or lowlights, i don't want that.
If you can, say what kinds and colors of makeup would suit me.
My hair: dark brown (almost black)
My eyes: dark brown (not black and not honey brown, medium!)
My skin: white, but just a tiny bit tan
Don't forget to add beauty tips!!!!

Yes, first they're going to use peroxide to "bleach" your hair and then they'll put a lighter brown dye over it for the color you want. I do NOT recccomend doing this at home or you're hair may fry…or worse. I reccomend going to a hairdresser to get this done, at least for your first time. As for hair color I'd need some sort of a picture, but it sounds like you have golden undertones maybe. Consult a hairdresser for conformation but I'd say a lighter, but still warm toned, brown. For make up, it sounds like you may look good in shades of emerald greens, and violet purples. For makeup I suggest going to sephora0o0com and searching around a bit.
Don't lighten your hair. The process you're describing will damage it. At most, give it a non-permanent tint using a kit from the drugstore, which washes out in a certain number of shampoos. Peroxide is not good to use when you're a first-timer, doing it yourself. To first lighten it means you're stripping your hair of pigment, then adding more pigment in. You could, if you wanted to, get a light brown dye that comes in a kit, without having to do two steps, but I don't think it would suit you. Better to stay equally dark with a special tint of some kind. Dark hair is more dramatic with your skin tone and eye color. How about going with a deep, shimmery tint? I recommend Feria by Loreal in Chocolate Cherry. It's dark, like you already have, but has red and purplish tints when it catches the light. However, it does have chemicals that will wreck your hair over time. I use color by Robert Craig and it doesn't damage my hair, doing it myself at home. You can find all kinds of colors there, from sheer glossy non-color to light brown to red to dark brown (in case you wanted to change it back). The most important thing is to maintain the condition of your hair. Color can ruin it faster than most anything. Robert Craig color has no odor, and much fewer chemicals than regular haircolor. Chemicals = bad.You do realize that coloring your hair a drastically different color means you need to touch it up regularly, right? The new growth coming in is not pretty. Be prepared for the time and financial investment of doing that. If I didn't care about touching up my gray, I wouldn't even bother. The Robert Craig website also has lots of general questions and answers about hair color that you are free to browse. They will also answer your individual questions.Make sure you use a good leave-in conditioner regularly once you start processing your hair. Otherwise, you get a lot more split ends and it will need more trims. With dark brown eyes and hair, I suggest black eyeliner, blue or black mascara, earthy eyeshadow shades (buff all over lid, then brown in the crease, for example), and lipsticks without a lot of pink in them. Adding a bit of shimmer to the top of your cheekbones and on your brow bone goes a long way in looking hot!Good luck! Source(s): http://www.robertcraig0o0com
