I had to write 2 limerick poems for school, did I do it right?
Line 1: There was an ugly girl shaped like a pair
Line 2: Her skin was very fair
Line 3: She didn’t have a brain
Line 4: Her face looked like it was hit by a train
Line 5: But men didn’t care, all they fell in love with was her pretty blond hair

Best Answer – Chosen by Voters Yes, you've nailed the limerick style pretty well. A suggestion; if you're going to turn these in at school you might wish to check your spelling and punctuation. For example:There once was a girl named Jenny. Her unfaithful boyfriend's name was Benny.Jenny knew Benny didn't want to wed.Jenny left Benny dead. The women in jail called Jenny a new, shiny penny. There was an ugly girl shaped like a pear; Her skinwas very fair. She didn't have a brain. Her face looked like it was hit by a train. But men didn't care; all they fell in love with was her pretty blonde hair.Good luck!
haha I enjoyed your poem. They seem right to me =)my favorite one is this:" There was a young man from JapanWhose limericks never would scan. When asked why this was,He replied "It's becauseI always try to fit as many syllables into the last line as ever possibly I can." "
