I feel bad for black women?

Before anyone tries to flame me, let me state my case. In society, usually people, especially females, live under constant pressure to live up to some kind of physical ideal. The physical ideal (facial features, hairstyles, body shape, body weight, etc) is often considered to be very Euro-centric. Unfortunately, black females are often thought to be far from society's view of beauty.
It seems as if a lot of people think black females cannot be beautiful, unless they have so-called white features, lighter skin, and a thin body….which isn't true at all. I find black females attractive ( like Bria Myles. Her body is just…wow :O ), but its like they cannot get a break. Its almost as if whites are put first in terms of beauty, then Asians, then Latinas, and then black females. I disagree with the order. Is it wrong for me to feel bad for black females?
Correct me if I'm wrong, but does this stem from the African tribes back in the day that used to put clay plates in the females' mouths in order to make them seem unattractive to the people from Europe that came there to capture slaves? I think the plates stretched their mouths out a lot…its awhile since I've had history lol.
