How to represent for the brown skinned black girls?
It seems as if lighter skinned black girls are usually more attractive to guys and that their beauty is noticed more. Girls in music videos are often light skinned with long hair. Some of them aren't even pretty, but it's like because they have lighter skin and longer hair, they're more attractive. I'm not hating on light skin girls because I think their skin is beautiful. I feel that every ethnicity is beautiful. I just think that darker skinned black girls are overlooked. I want to represent for the brown skinned and darker skinned girls. How can I do this?

Best Answer – Chosen by Voters I was just wondering the same thing about black guys. There is a black actor on the series Fringe (great show BTW) and he has an extremely dark complexion. Since I'm a white guy it is hard for me to relate. Do women find black men with extremely dark complexions attractive?Personally I find Halley Berry and Vanessa Williams very attractive. But Whoopi Goldberg is listed as the Top Black Actress of All time Source(s): http://blogs.bet0o0com/entertainment/whatt…
i don't really no what u mn.. by saying how can you represent them.. but i do no that i am light skinned ( mixed race ) and i never get noticed ( not saying that i am pretty but im not hideous) i never get noticed by boys because i live in a part of england that id majority white.. but when i go to london.. black boys like me.. so basically.. it depends who is/not noticing the darker skinned girls.. i don't no if that makes Sense :/x
Just be proud of who you are, it's all you can really do.I represent all the pale puertoricans out there, too bad I'm the only pale puertorican that doesn't even look puertorican, I think you're going to have an easier time than me representing lol.
There are lots of cultures that favor lighter skin.Asian culture looks favorably on light skin. (Chinese in particular)American black culture (from experience) make fun of the really dark skinned people (almost purple, not brown).I don't know..just be proud of who you are.
im guessing your darker skinned your beauty is not overlooked ur beautiful inside and out and i now alot of guys who are atrracted to the darker brown skin tone
in africa, dark skin is beautiful, i would know, i am from there.
Just be confident and love yourself. Don't worry about what people think or say. If you love yourself, then people will love u too.
OMG!!!! I just had this conversation today with two of my friends. One is what we call "red" (very light skinned) and the other one is pretty chocolate. I told them that they never have to worry about men (Black) because they have preferences for Dark skin or light skin. Us brown girls are the real representers of the race as Americans and Africans caused us to be in the middle. lol But for real, its something not even all Black people stop to think about. If you want to represent, start with yourself. Everytime I go into public and you go into public we are representing each other whether we want to or not. People tend to deny Black people the diversity that really exists within our race as far as complexions go so they will just see a Black woman. Another thing you can do is stay away from Vogue Magazine. I no longer support them after it was brought to the editor in chief's attention that that White model with a Black painted face and "ethnic" outfit was offensive, she said she didn't think so and then she wants to launch Vogue in the USA? I think not. Used to be one of my fav mags, but she signed and dated my protest with her non chalant comments…
