How to care for wind burn / frost bite?
We live in central Canada where it's been ridiculously cold with icy winds lately.
My husband works outside in it for 8 hours a day.
The only part of his skin that is exposed is just under the eyes, on the cheekbones.
Now the skin there is starting to get very red, a bit thicker, harder, and drier.
Is this caused by windburn or frostbite? How can we take care of it?
I have some eczema cream (mometasone 0.1%), but I don't know if that would be good to use or not.
Regular hand lotion?
Something else entirely?
Thanks a lot for your help!!

Best Answer – Chosen by Voters tell him to wear goggles. I assume he is wearing a face mask? since you do state only a little bit of his cheekbones are showing. but yea, lotion will typically heal the skin. It could be both windburn if it is windy and frostbite if it is cold.
