And have a 08 or 09 Honda Civic brand new(going to be buying a car) And going to college(since I hear most insurance Companies discount kids under 20 who are going to college) Is it really expensive? Also I hear its lower then before since economy is down.

it is a little bit lower, but wat u need to do is go to different insurance websites like Giec, progressive, allstate, state farm. they can quote it for you on their site

The cost of my insurance hasn't changed, but for me it was around 70 for basic liability, and uninsured motorist when I was 18 ( i'm 25 now) . It's different for everyone depending on company, and driving record and such. You could be eligible for a "good driver" discount as well. Just shop around and keep in mind that if it sounds to good to be true, it probably is. Why buy a new car? when you can get a early 200o's or late civic and substantionally lower your premiums?And I'm 18 turning 19 very soon driving for almost 2 years and on my prents insurance AAA, liability drive one car of them to go to college it cost me around 1000 a year. so where did you hear that crap from?with the economy as it is, they raise their premiums, and only if you are a "good student with a 3.0 gpa r higher can you get a discount.

Where in CA it makes a major difference. LA vs the high desert are needless to say very different.Honestly too many factors shop around to see.

Even with the discounts the insurance on a new car for a rookie driver are gonna be alot, not sure exactly how much, but you could find that out easily enough online
