How much makeup should a 13 year old girl wear? (revised)?
what i wear is a loose powder(mac mineralize skin finish natural) eyeshadow. and black eyeliner on the water line and tight line then mascara. then i just wear a pink tinted shimmer lip balm.
im asking this question because today i wore a bright blue eyeshadow and all the guys told me i was wearing alot of makeup but the girls loved it. i just think its because boys dont knoe anything when it comes to makeup.
and honestly i know i shouldnt care what people think or say because makeup is what makes me happy. and like i said, all the girls complmented it and all the boys were saying rude things. why is that do you think? i dont know

Best Answer – Chosen by Voters When I was thirteen, I wore a tinted moisturizer, MAC studio finish pressed powder, blush, mascara, and used a matte brown eyeshadow to line my eyes. I sometimes wore very light neutral eye shadow.Nobody ever said anything to me about it. They probably said something because school is a very conservative environment and you wore a dramatic color. Don't worry about it though. If you were happy with your appearance then who cares what those boys think. Your the one who actually has a clue about makeup, not them
A thirteen year old girl SHOULD wear: close to none. Maybe some mascara and lip gloss?A thirteen year old SHOULDN'T wear: Anything not listed above. Use face washes/cleansers instead of foundation/powder. What exactly do you wear?I'm fourteen and I wear nothing, because I'm happy and confident with my natural beauty.
Im 13 and wear this to School everyday:Black eyeliner.Black mascara.Really light foundation really light powder.and just put vaseline on
And outside of school is usually the same only maybe some eyeshadow..i know people younger who wear more..Everyone in my class thats female wears make up, but were in high school here.. :Lx
just make sure your foundation doesnt look like a fake bronzer im pretty sure thats a turn off for guys..and i think eyeshadow can make you look like your wearing too much make up and you know how girls are its different so they compliment it to be nice..i think you should go for a little more natural look hope i helped
well if you like to do make up…like me… don't let that make you stop. Guys are weird when it comes to make up. They always say that they like natural make up but then when you have a smokey eye or a bold lip they like that too. I don't get it. but no i don't think that is to much
Umm don't wear eyeshadow.ii think eyeshadow is for special occasion.ii wear mascara, a little eyeliner, and foundation, blush, clear lipqloss.&& it looks natural. Hah.(:
im 13, guy, hate to say…but that's a little too much. i mean, i like it whenn girls wear eyeliner, blush, little bit, but not too much. some girls dont even put any on. What i would say- keep away from too much or too little plz answer mine
you do NOT wear to much, thats barely anything.trust me when i tell you the reason they thought you were were wearing too much was bcos of the bright blue eyeshadow. no 13 yr old can pull that off without looking overdone.
I'm also 13 and I wear a tinted moisturizer eyeliner mascara lip gloss or tints like you do and SOMETIMES some eye shadow that is very light and neutral like goldy bronze stuffSo ya…. Haha hope I helped!(:
id say that isnt alot except instead of wearing colorful eyeshadows maybe soften the tone to like light brown colors it will bring out your eye color anyways. im 15 and thats what i do still
Hmm. Try going for more natural colors. When you hit high school, you can wear more if you want. You're just really young.
I would lose the eye liner, mascara and eye shadow. I would also lose the face powder if you dont have skin blotches or acne… wait until high school to look pretty for the boys. Eye makeups not that important to wear when your in middle school. It can send the wrong message and also weigh heavy on the face. It is also known that the sooner you wear eye makeup the sooner you see lines and skin thinning around your eyes… pick your battle. Lip gloss can always be a daily essential. : )Girls are more likley to want to look grown up at that age, boys dont really care. They are probably making a fuss about it because eveyone else is. Lose the makeup or ignore their comments.
I think you need too wear whatever feels comfortable for YOU. Not based by what other people think! Certain amounts work for all different people. So it wouldn't be fair for me to judge the amount of make up you wear, because it might be the perfect amount for you.But I will say that because of your age, you don't want anything too flashy. Like the bright blue eyeshadow might not have been a good idea. Try too keep warm tones leveled down. That way you can still look your age, with maturity without looking a bit slutty. Also the foundation and powder, is going too clog your pores. You don't want that. That causes acne. Instead get a toner and some moisturizer and face wash. That way you will have a healthy glow from just naturally having a clean face.I wear nothing as well, like the person above me said. I'm much older, well not A LOT but a few years, and I wear nothing. For me it works best since, natural imo, is better with me.
Guys don't know anything when there 12 or 13! lol, I would just ignore then, there probably trying to flirt with you but can't succeed -I think is whats a lot of make up for a 13-year-old girl is Dark eyeliner, shadow, and lipstick-I think a 13-year-old girl should wear 1. foundation 2. little bit of eyeliner on the waterline (not too harsh) 3. Neutral eye shadows 4. Neutral lip gloss-Alot of girls don't wear make-up at age 13 but I started in 6th grade so what the heck!-Just make sure to keep it Natural, age appropriate, and know how to put it on (but you sound like you know what your talkin about)-make sure you make-up isn't cheap (like drug store) so it doesn't look tackyHope this helps!Email me for more tips!XOXO-Evalynn Source(s): Me>Past expirences!
Sweetie you are NOT wearing too much!Heres where your comments came from. When I wear natural, soft colored browns and gray eyeshadows, plus my daily makeup (foundation, powder, mascara, eyeliner), i get compliments on my complexion and i'm told i'm good at doing my makeup. Its a nice everyday look, and I don't feel like i wear too much, because i need to. I have really bad skin. I look horrible without makeup honestly. But see, the thing is, if I wear a bright blue, or a deep purple, or even greens, i get told i'm wearing too much. The appearance of "too much" or just right is a thin line; and its based on your eyeshadow.Bright blue and purples and greens are more for a night out. When it comes to your everyday look, like school, stick to more earthy, natural shades. These will bring out your eyes and look more natural, while still complimenting your face! I use to try and make my eye makeup match my overall color of my outfit. This was a mistake. Bright, colorful eye makeup often results in a trashy look. Stick to browns, grays, golds, and soft pinks. If you really want a nice finish, try a smokey look. This can be achieved by doing a light color on your lid, such as a soft pink, and then choosing a darker shade, such as a dark brown, and applying the darker shade towards the outer part of your lid. Then take a clean brush and blend the line where the colors meet. This creates the "smokey" look. It really softens your eyeshadow and looks great! Also try adding just a little bit of white eyshadow in the very inside of your lid. This really brightens your eyes! You're dead right girl! If you like your makeup, then who cares? Boys don't know a whole lot about makeup, therefore a little bit can seem like a lot. I'm fifteen by the way. I love makeup, and I see it as an art. I like being able to enhance my features. Like we both said, if you're happy, then who cares?Hope I helped!
