   Wash your face at night and don't put on moisturizer. If in the morning, your skin looks shiny or feels wet/greasy, you have oily skin. If it feels tight, and looks flaky in some areas, you have dry skin.Hope this helps.

   I was taught that the distinction between dry and oily skin, is that dry skin has dry patches and if you don't apply moisturizer your skin feels "a few sizes too small", you know, and you can get dry patches with fall offs and so on; That it tightens and itches…if it's oily, you will get a greasy look/shine to the skin throughout the day. Those are just the basics, and there are different combos as well; normal – dry skin, normal-oily skin, oily- very oily, dry-very dry, combo of oily skin but with dry patches (I was told that when I had this, it was because I was dehydrated)….and so on and so on. All though there are genetics involved, what you eat and what moisturiser/what you put on your face willl influence the appearance of the skin. Hope this made sense and that is was helpful

   If your skin was dry it would be tight and erm dry. If you've got oily skin foundation would slide off, your skin would look shiny and may suffer from spots. You have also have abit of bot. Combination skin.You could be blessed and have normal skin if theres any such thingPop into a large boots or debeham's and go to the beauty counters.The girls behind the counter will be able to tell you better than anyone on the internet because they can have a good look xx

   Ok, this may sound weird but, clean your hands and wipe your nose. Did oil come off? if a lot did you most likely have oily skin. Does your skin feel tight after washing it? If so you probably have dry skin. Both? its possible you have combination skin.

   Believe me, if you had oily skin, you'd be able to feel it. my guess (since your unsure of your skin type) is that you have normal skin. Its in between oily and dry–perfect. If you had dry your skin would feel tight and itchy a lot. If you had oily, you'd be prone to breakouts, zits and you wouldnt ever need a moisturizer. Your skin would already feel oily and greasy a lot of the time. Go for normal foundation, im pretty sure thats what you have. Luck!
