Undecided Question

Ok… so I got a tattoo a week ago and after two days, I noticed some redness and blisters that weren't normal. I went to urgent care and was diagnosed with a staph infection. It is extremely painful, even a week later. The doctor put me on an antibiotic called Septra. I have many questions about this infection that I can't really find the answers to… Will the tattoo ink push out of my tattoo while it's healing? It seems to be peeling but that could just be the normal healing process of a tattoo. When will the pain go away? My skin hurts so bad… like it's burning… even more painful than the tattoo itself. I have been very good about washing my hands because I have an 8 month old baby in the house but what else can i do to make sure he doesn't contract this? I have kept it covered for his sake. Some things i read say to keep it covered, some things say to let it breathe. Also, I have a friend who sells medical supplies to hospitals and he had me try this stuff called nanocrystalline silver.It's the same stuff they put on burns in the hospital to keep bacteria out and help them heal. The stuff seems to be helping but it gets really itchy when I use it. Someone please help me out… I could use all the advice i can get. And please, no lectures about tattoos. I want to know more about the infection.
