HELP WITH HAIRSTYLE?!?!?!?

It's just so plain. I feel SO plain. I just put on a lot of weight (because it's exam time and I uncontrollably eat a lot when I'm studying – so I'm feeling really bad about myself and I just feel gross! :-( Exams finish next week so I'm going to hit the gym hard, start eating really healthy and stuff and so I'm thinking of doing somethign with my hair sort of as motivation to start taking care of myself and looking good and feeling good about myself again! :-) I'll put some photos up and maybe you can give me some ideas for what I can do?
I'm thinking maybe a side fringe? I used to have one and I absolutely loved it but it's a bit inconvenient because I play a lot of sport (except during exams haha) so it always gets in the way – plus I like to part my hair down the middle sometimes like this: http://www.elle0o0com/var/ezflow_site/storage/images/elle/beauty/hair/center-part/2956112-1-eng-US/Center-Part_articleimage.jpg
So that won't really work with a side fringe because it's like two really short bits at the front.
I also love quiffs, though, which is hard with my super long hair – so a side part would be good with that.
Maybe a block fringe, though? I don't know! :-)
Maybe just a change in colour?
Anyway, I'm open to anything! Feel free to send pictures with your response to show me your ideas! I just don't know what suits my face shape/ skin colour.
