GECKO QUESTION??????????????????????…
It started out with her not opening her eyes very often which made her run into walls. Then she had trouble shedding and i tried to help by rubbing off the skin with a wet warm paper towel, which got some of the skin off but not all of it. Then she got really thin and there was nothing i could do anymore. Now I have one gecko and he's started to close his eyes more and he's having shedding problems.
What should I do to help him? I cant take him to a vet. Could he have the same problem as my other gecko? and I've been wondering if I should give him away but that would be very hard for me because I've had him almost 2 years.

why can't you take him to a vet?? if you can't an animal store is very good with dealing with this.
when leos have trouble shedding the skin can get into thier eyes and mess them up so that may be your problem (and if its not fixable the best way to let her go is to put her in a freezer =(…) Source(s): use to own a gecko with the same problem =(( had to put her to sleep
You do need to go to a vet, but listen, you can find out if its got a parasite for cheap. Go to this website: herpvetconnection0o0com and find a local reptile vet. Then call them and ask if you can drop off a reptile fecal sample, and how much it costs. It should be about $25. They can find out in about 24 hours whether or not it really has a parasite or not. Some vets may say if it DOES have a parasite then they need to see it for a vet appointment, but honestly their all about money. Tell them you can't afford the vet visit though you can afford the medicine (the medicine is usually around $20 but a vet visit is like $50) and you will just find somewhere else to buy the medicine/ will just not give the gecko any medicine. It works, they just want as much money from you as possible, but will take whatever they can get. If it has no parasites then your fine. You should check to see if people say those geckos need humid hides to help it shed. It may be very beneficial. Its eyes may be closed because it has shed around its eyes.
well what have you been feeding him crickets, mealworms or both, if hes not eating his food could be bad or he doesnt like what hes eating, but idk i've never had a ghecko.
Ohhhh, Im Sorry…
